What can you expect from a District Conference? Several Marshwinds Toastmasters enjoyed the Fall District 6 Toastmasters Conference. Notably, three Marshwinds Toastmasters who recently earned their Distinguish Toastmaster Awards were honored: Mark, Betty & Shaun. If you are into numbers, Marshwinds represented 25% of the DTMs awarded for the district this year! Jean & Sandy also attended as well as Distinguished Toastmasters and friends of Marshwinds BJ and Chez. Chez gave an outstanding luncheon speech where he urged us to fill our wheelbarrow with the right stuff. BJ was the ubiquitous Sergeant at Arms.
The contests and events were outstanding! Even better, our division, Western Division swept the #1 spots in both the Humorous and Tall Tales Contests.
Don't forget to sign up for the Spring Conference! It's May 1st and 2nd in Bloomington, MN.
