Meeting Recap July 31, 2008

Theme: "Take time to smell the roses – Think Positively"
We had a good turnout for the meeting this past week. We also had three guests. Special Guest: Judy Elling Hopkins Minnetonka Family Resource Center and guest of Ravi Bakshi. We had two other two guests. One was a current member of another club visiting our club for new ideas. One was a prospective new member just finding out what Toastmasters is all about.
We had three speakers, each completing a manual speech. Sandy was introducing Jennifer - Present an award with dignity and acknowledge the contributions of the recipient. Jennifer's speech was Accepting an Award titled What I Should've Said. Both of these speeches were well done. But the winning speech resulting in the Toastmaster of the Day award went to Mark Forsberg. He gave a memorable speech titled Unattached to the Outcome.
Thanks to all who took the time to attend this meeting, and taking time to smell the roses – or simply smell the fragrance and beauty of flowers – as suggested by Tom Schmidt!
