Update & Invitation

Good Morning Marsh Winds Toastmasters,

What a beautiful day!

On June 17th we celebrated each other and our club Marsh Winds! We were excited to have a great turn out for our evening of celebration!

Crissy Roeglin, your new VP of Education lead our celebration in an Ice Breaker on the back deck. The theme of the ice breaker – 2 truths and a lie of course these all fit into the outrageous category. We all submitted our truths and lies in a bag . Crissy allowed people to choose from the bag, read the truths and lie and the rest of us had to guess who this Marsh Winds Toastmaster was! It was great fun and we learned so much about our fellow club members.

We then moved inside for food and dessert! YUM! Our food was followed by a small program. The program began with a roast of me. Thank you to Sandy Ryan, Pamela Sakayan, Jean Keating, Michael Kennedy and Cheryl Henkels for their fabulous contributions! There was a video of the event however sadly it was deleted. We then moved into recognizing the new board members: President Sandy Ryan, VP of Education Crissy Roeglin, VP of Public Relations Lisa Jenks, VP of Membership Michael Kennedy, Treasure Larry Everett, Secretary Pamela Rediger, and Sergeant at Arms Elleva Joy McDonald. Please welcome our new board and support their efforts! Special recognition went to our Toastmaster of the Year Shaun Jamison and Don Paulson Award winner Jean Keating. Our evening ended with recognizing the current board members.

Please join me at our July 10th meeting to celebrate again our Toastmaster of the Year Shaun Jamison and Don Paulson Winner Jean Keating as well as our new board members. This is an exciting moment and I would love to share the joy with our full club! It takes each of us bringing our gifts, struggles, talents to be supported by our club to learn and grow as speakers and leaders in Marsh Winds, our personal and professional lives as well as the world!

Please sign up on our on-line roster or contact me or Shaun Jamison for a role at our July 10th meeting! Marsh Winds is the dynamic club it is because of you!

Take good care,

Jennifer Stensrud

President of Marsh Winds Toastmasters
