Dear Marshwinds Toastmasters,
Today was an excellent educational event! Tom Schmid, DTM, led us in a session on parliamentary procedure that was both content rich and gave opportunities for members to make and respond to motions.
We had nearly 20 meeting participants including two guests. Susan's guest was Kimberly and Shaun's guest was John.
Additional meeting leaders were: Susan Budig as Timer, Dr. Mike Kennedy as Ah Counter, Aimee Krebsbach as Grammarian, Larry Everett as General Evaluator, Cheryl Henkels as Sergeant at Arms, and Jennifer Stensrud as Presiding Officer.
After our wonderful educational program, our new member Lisa Jenks was voted in and inducted today. Congratulations Lisa! Tom Schmid was voted Toastmaster of the Day to no one's surprise for his outstanding contribution.
I am happy to report that I was able to send in five additional registrations for the TELI today. Our club is well on the way to gaining recognition for having all seven officers trained at the February 16th TELI and with more members attending we could win for the highest attendance! See www.d6tm.org for details on the TELI.
Sandy Ryan, Vice President for Public Relations reported that plans are under way for the February 7th Open House and that members are challenged to invite three guests each.
Respectfully Submitted (I learned today the term is archaic, but I cannot help myself)
Shaun Jamison
